Most challenging thing about being a superhero:
Standing out as a Superhero everyday is challenging. Staying a cut above in my profession and passing along that knowledge to help my patients. I meet this challenge with the help of my co-workers everyday.
Most rewarding thing about being a superhero:
Working side by side with my co-workers in Respiratory Care and throughout the hospital, and our management team which supports us in our actions. Watching this level of teamwork carry over to our patient care with the end result of happy and healthier patients.
Describe your work environment:
My work environment is comfortable. We have a large area to work in with up-to-date equipment, and plenty of educational materials available. Our support staff is wonderful.
How does DEBORAH take care of its employees?
Deborah offers us the best benefit options, I love the flexible spending and the discounted lunches. We have free parking here which many places do not. Our hospital is always clean. We have a Recognition Dinner every year and an Employee Picnic.
What does “taking the high road” mean to you?
Having a positive attitude, being accountable for your work. Make patients your first priority and focusing on what you need to do on any given day. I left a full time position here a while ago and remained per diem. I worked a couple other places and came back to Deborah to work full time because of how great the work environment and patient care is. I have been here for 30 years I know DEBORAH is the best.
